RAHENY UNITED DEFEATED UCD Waves 2-1 after extra-time in this afternoon’s Women’s FAI Cup final at the Aviva Stadium — and Katie McCabe’s terrific free-kick lit up the game in the first half.
The 19-year-old winger rifled past UCD goalkeeper Monica McGuirk from 35-yards on the 20-minute mark to give the Pandas a deserved lead.
Ireland U19 international McCabe, whose older brother is Shamrock Rovers star Gary McCabe, already has three hat-tricks to her name this season and clearly has a bright future ahead.

Six minutes before the break, Aine O’Gorman followed up Julie Ann Russell’s strike which came back off the crossbar to grab an equaliser.
In extra-time, Siobhan Killeen grabbed a second for Raheny, who win the competition for the third year on the trot.
