'Simply the best. One of the greats' - Tributes pour in for retiring Karl Lacey

He bows out as Donegal’s most decorated footballer.

THREE YEARS TO the day after Donegal’s All-Ireland semi-final win over Dublin, Karl Lacey announced his retirement from county action.

Tributes have been flowing in from former teammates and opponents following Lacey’s decision to call time on his career.

He bows out as Donegal’s most decorated footballer, winning four All-Stars, Footballer of the Year and an All-Ireland.
