Juventus paid tribute to an Irish legend today

Former football star and well-known RTÉ pundit Liam Brady turns 59 today.

IT’S LIAM BRADY’S 59th birthday today, and to mark the occasion, his former club Juventus paid tribute to him on Instagram.

Brady, who is widely considered to be one of Ireland’s best-ever footballers, spent two years with Juve, helping them to win the Serie A title twice in the process.

In addition, the other club with whom he was famously associated, Arsenal, have also wished him a happy birthday on Twitter.

And to further celebrate the occasion, here’s one of our favourite of the many impassioned debates he’s had with Eamon Dunphy and co during his time as a pundit for RTÉ (“TWO QUALIFYING GAMES IN FOUR YEARS!”).
