JURGEN KLOPP INSISTS he has no plans to sign a new goalkeeper in the January transfer window.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Jack Butland and Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen amid suggestions Klopp was looking to replace Simon Mignolet.
The Belgium international has received his fair share of criticism and made a baffling mistake in last week’s Europa League win over Bordeaux, holding the ball for over 20 seconds to give away a free-kick, which was promptly fired past him.

“I’m absolutely satisfied with our goalkeeper situation,” Klopp said in his press conference at Melwood ahead of Wednesday’s Capital One Cup trip to Southampton.
“I’m sorry to kill your stories about goalkeepers – German goalkeepers, or from Stoke or wherever.
“We are not looking for another goalkeeper. We have enough high quality ones here.
“I’ve worked with a lot of goalkeepers over the last few years and Simon Mignolet is one of the smartest I’ve ever had.
“He is open, completely open and young enough to develop and improve. “Since I’ve been here, there’s nothing to criticise. He is a good footballer and everything is okay with him.
“Everyone is watching for the new Manuel Neuer or something like this, but we’ve got to help our goalkeeper and give him the ball in the right situations and not hope he’ll play the final pass for a goal or something!”
“The goalkeeper situation is a very comfortable one for us.”
Adam Bogdan could deputise for Mignolet on Wednesday night.
The 28-year-old has made two appearances this season, both in the League Cup, where he thwarted three penalties in the shooutout win over Carlisle and kept a clean sheet in the victory over Bournemouth.
“I have to ask [goalkeeping coach] John Achterberg!” said Klopp. “It could be that Adam [Bogdan] will play.”
