EARLIER THIS SEASON, Hoffenheim revealed that 28-year-old Julian Nagelsmann would take over as manager from Huub Stevens at the end of the season.
Stevens only arrived in October after Markus Gisdol was sacked because of the teamโs poor start.
But now, because of health issues, Stevens has had to step down and Nagelsmann has been parachuted in to try and make some miracles happen.
The side are currently second from bottom, having won just twice from 20 league games.
Nagelsmannโs own playing career was ended due to injury when he was 20 and since then, heโs busied himself with coaching.
In early 2013, when he was just 25, he was brought in as an assistant to the senior team when Hoffenheim were embroiled in a relegation battle.
So, he does have that experience to draw upon but acknowledges how much of a challenge heโs facing into.
Itโs a massive challenge, made worse by the position in the tableโ, he said.
โIโm looking forward to working with the team and giving them fresh impetus my way.โ
Nagelsmannโs first assignment is a trip to Werder Bremen this weekend.
Great article, short and sweet.
Pulling on my Puma Kings and kicking the hole off a kid in a pair of pink boots is one of the great pleasures of the sporting life.
Never throw out a pair of football boots, someday youโll take them in your hands and remember what it was like to be young and not give a damn about anything more ninety minutes.
Puma Kings are the best. Always loved wearing them.
I wore Black adidas copa mundials as a kid, my dad got them for me as i was the only sports child. They were the best boots everโฆif my old man saw me wearing anything but black boots heโd call me a Nancy boy.
I was about to reply thatโs mine weโre Prada , then I noticed it was about football boots! Well I wore Gola back in the day when I played womenโs soccer!! :-)
Sums up soccer very nicely indeed. Glad the proper football is back today. Earnestly hope it too doesnโt go the way of soccer.

Well youโre a real barrel of laughs
