JOSEPH DUFFY WILL return to Ultimate Fighting Championship action this summer.
The Irish lightweight will take on Brazilian fighter Ivan Jorge at UFC Fight Night 72, which is set for the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow.

The UFC’s first ever event in Scotland will take place on Saturday, 18 July — seven days after Conor McGregor faces Jose Aldo in Las Vegas for the UFC featherweight world title.
Duffy, who hails from Burtonport in Donegal but now trains in Montreal, made a spectacular UFC debut in March, defeating Jake Lindsey via KO in the first round.
His next opponent, Ivan Jorge, has a 2-1 record with the UFC. The 34-year-old has competed professionally on 30 occasions — more than twice as many as Duffy — and has an overall record of 26-4.
Duffy has previously spoken of a desire to move to the featherweight division. While this bout will be at lightweight, it’s understood that he plans to target a debut in the 145lbs weight-class when the UFC returns to Dublin in October, as expected.
The UFC Glasgow bill is likely to have a strong Irish flavour, with the likes of Paddy Holohan and Paul Redmond also expected to feature.
