THE FA HAVE revealed that Jose Mourinho’s stadium ban came as a result of him refusing to leave the referees’ room at Upton Park last month before swearing twice at match official Jon Moss during a heated confrontation.
The Chelsea boss vented furiously during a half-time showdown before being asked to leave. Mourinho became increasingly agitated and told Moss, “You fucking referees are weak… [Arsène] Wenger is right about you… you are fucking weak.”
Mourinho was eventually escorted from the room and watched the second half from the directors’ box.
The governing body have today released their reasons for issuing the Portuguese with a one-match suspension and £40,000 fine, along with Moss’ official report from the game against West Ham on 24th October.

And it’s those details that are most damning for both Mourinho and his employers.

At half-time, West Ham led by a goal and Chelsea were down to ten men following Nemanja Matic’s sending off.
“When myself and my colleagues left the field of play at half-time, as we entered the tunnel area to get to our dressing room, Mr Mourinho the Chelsea manager was waiting for us clearly agitated and began aggressively asking about first half decisions”, writes Moss.
Rather than publicly speak to him I asked him to step into the entrance of my dressing room escorted by Simon Sutton, the West Ham United Security Manager.Mr Mourinho asked me about a tackle, an offside and a goal-line clearance. I gave him brief answers to his questions.
After this I asked him to leave the dressing room area. He refused. I asked him again. After he refused again I asked Mr Sutton to escort him from the room. At this point Mr Mourinho became very aggressive and animated. He shouted that you fucking referees are weak… [Arsène] Wenger is right about you… you are fucking weak. I advised Mr Mourinho not to take his position in the technical area for the second half due to his actions.”
Earlier on Friday, Mourinho had revealed that he wouldn’t appeal the one-game stadium ban which sees him prevented from even contacting his staff until after Saturday’s clash with Stoke.

At his press conference, the 52-year-old said he may not even watch the game though will still travel with the Chelsea squad.
“I travel with the team and will be with them until the moment somebody stops me, which is, I think, when I am in the limit of the compound of the stadium. We know when I have to stop. I don’t know (where I will watch the game). I have no plans. Maybe I sit on the street corner with my iPad. I don’t know. Maybe I don’t even watch the game. I can’t contact my staff during the game. Why? Maybe Twitter, Livescore. I don’t know.”
