Jose Mourinho runs off the bench to make a tackle in Fifa legends match

The former Chelsea manager was in Mexico City as Fifa prepares for its annual congress.

JOSE MOURINHO IS itching to get back into football and he certainly hasn’t lost his competitive edge as shown by his intervention in the Fifa Legends match held on the eve of the governing body’s annual congress in Mexico.

Mourinho took charge of a Legends side that included Ronaldinho and Luis Figo but that wasn’t enough for his team to overcome the Mexico All-Stars who won the match 9-8 — although the former Chelsea manager did his best for his side when he encroached on the pitch to deny the home side a clear goalscoring opportunity.

It’s not the first time Mourinho has come off the bench to make a tackle. The 53-year-old made a similar intervention against Olly Murs during a charity match in 2014.

Although, it doesn’t quite match the tackling efforts of former London Mayor Boris Johnson:

It’s an exciting time for Irish football, so why isn’t it having a knock-on effect on our league?
