JOSE MOURINHO WAS refusing to be downbeat after his side were knocked out of the Capital One Cup on penalties by Stoke last night.

The Chelsea boss has seen his side endure a poor run of form lately, leading to speculation that Mourinho could lose his job, however he insisted after the defeat last night that his “general situation is fantastic”.

The former Porto and Real Madrid manager also hit out at claims that Chelsea’s stars were not playing for him, saying such a suggestion was disrespectful to the team.
