Mourinho to be named new Manchester United boss after FA Cup final - reports

Today’s Wembley outing looks like it will be Louis van Gaal’s last game in charge of Manchester United.

JOSE MOURINHO WILL be announced as the new manager of Manchester United this evening, regardless of the result in today’s FA Cup final, according to reports in Spain.

Louis van Gaal has been under mounting pressure in recent months and failure to secure Champions League football for next season looks to have resulted in the former Netherlands manager being relieved of his duties with one year remaining on his contract.

It is understood that Mourinho has signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United to prevent him from joining another club and he would stand in line to earn millions in compensation if he was not hired by the English giants.

However, it is believed the board has finally sanctioned the deal for the former Chelsea manager to take charge of Manchester United next season.

It has also been reported that Mourinho will sign a three-year deal worth an estimated €15 million annually and that he will be given a substantial transfer budget to help rebuild the squad.
