Galway hurler Johnny Glynn to commute from New York in bid for Liam MacCarthy

The 23-year-old last featured for the Galway hurlers in their 2015 All-Ireland loss.

JOHNNY GLYNN IS set to make a return to the Galway hurling panel, despite living and working in New York.

The Irish Independent are reporting that the Ardrahan forward will be recalled by Micheál Donoghue, having last featured for the Tribesman in their 2015 All-Ireland final loss to Kilkenny.

Glynn has made the trip home to line out for his club in the Galway SHC today, and is set to rejoin the county squad on Monday night before heading back to base in the Big Apple later in the week.

Following the 2015 defeat, the 23-year-old moved Stateside and lined out for the New York footballers in the Connacht championship last year.
