Terry: suspended for games against Liverpool and Leicester. Adam Davy

John Terry is going full John Terry and hiring Stamford Bridge for a private farewell game

Chelsea veteran to play one last game at the Bridge with friends and family.

SUSPENSION COULDN’T STOP John Terry from donning a full kit to lift the Champions League trophy — and suspension certainly can’t stop John Terry from playing one last game at Stamford Bridge.

Saturday’s red card at Sunderland will rule the Chelsea captain out of the final two games of the Premier League campaign.

But Terry, who is widely tipped to leave at the end of the season after 18 years at the London club, is pulling out all the stops to make sure that he can line out at the Bridge one last time: he’s hiring the stadium for his own farewell match.

The 35-year-old will be joined by family and friends for the game next Monday, according to a report in Monday’s Telegraph:

“Together with being able to play on the pitch, the Stamford Bridge package that Terry has taken up for his big goodbye includes dressing rooms, match officials, use of the dug-outs, access to stadium screens and public address system, and a barbecue,” the report says.

Guess we can add another paragraph to the dictionary definition of “doing a John Terry.”
