John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer has emerged as an injury concern for Tipperary.

More bad injury news for Tipperary hurlers ahead of crunch Limerick clash

John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer picked up an ankle injury on weekend training camp.

TIPPERARY HAVE SUFFERED a potential injury blow ahead of next Sunday’s Munster SHC semi-final against Limerick with news emerging that Allstar forward John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer could miss the game with an ankle problem.

It is understood that O’Dwyer sustained the injury during a weekend training camp at Carton House.

There are even fears that O’Dwyer, 23, could be ruled out for a considerable period of time if scans reveal more serious damage.

Latest indications from the Tipperary camp suggest that 2014 Young Hurler of the Year Cathal Barrett won’t start either.

Barrett, 21, injured his shoulder on a warm-weather training camp in Spain back in April.

While the Holycross-Ballycahill clubman has returned to training, it is felt that he may not have enough match practice under his belt to warrant a start.

The fitness of Thurles Sarsfields pair Michael Cahill and Lar Corbett is also being monitored ahead of the crunch visit to the Gaelic Grounds.
