WHEN JOHN MULDOON leads Connacht out at the Sportsground for tonight’s Guinness Pro12 clash with Leinster, it will mark the Portumna native’s 300th appearance for the province.

It’s a remarkable achievement at this level of the game for the 34-year-old back-row forward, who made his Connacht debut way back in the 2003-04 season.

To mark the occasion, Connacht have produced a fantastic video which features team-mates and coaches, past and present, paying tribute to Muldoon, which gives you an idea of just how highly-regarded he is among his peers.

And he doesn’t appear to have any intention of stopping just yet:

“I wouldn’t give this job up for anything. If the body and the mind want to keep going, why not? Because I certainly love what I do.”
