IRELAND’S JOHN EGAN bagged his third goal of the season for Brentford last night as they came from behind at Villa Park to draw 1-1 with Aston Villa in the Championship.
Cork man Egan found the net in the 88th minute with a deflected shot to ensure Brentford lie in 7th place in the Championship.
The goal continued Egan’s bright form since his summer move from Gillingham to Brentford. The defender had previously hit the net when bagging a double in Brentford’s 2-0 win against Ipswich last month.
It maintains a good week for Irish players in the Championship with Conor Hourihane scoring in Barnsley’s 4-0 win on Tuesday night while Ciaran Clark scored for Newcastle.
