Ajax have released this beautiful video tribute to their iconic former player and coach

It’s hard not to get emotional watching the legendary attacker in his pomp.

THERE HAS BEEN an outpouring of emotion since Johan Cruyff’s death was announced and the news has been keenly felt by the clubs he influenced the most.

He joined Ajax on his 10th birthday in 1957 and stayed there until 1974. Afterwards, there was a five-year spell with Barcelona before he was lured back to Amsterdam for one final fling with the club in the early 1980s.

In 1985, he became the manager of the Dutch giants and stayed for three years.

In total, he won 22 trophies in his time with the club.

And on a sad day for everyone involved with Ajax, they have paid an emotional video tribute.
