'There's a lot of bruised bodies' - Schmidt outlines Ireland's week ahead of Paris trip

The Ireland head coach briefly spoke to the IRFU’s YouTube channel on Monday.

JOE SCHMIDT ADMITS the odds are heavily stacked in France’s favour ahead of the showdown in Paris as his side only have a short window to recover from the bruising battle with Wales.

As the dust settled on Sunday’s 16-16 with Warren Gatland’s side at the Aviva, Ireland head coach Schmidt conceded the task facing his squad is that much tougher with just a six day turnaround.

The IRFU were due to send out a medical bulletin to the media on Monday but no such update arrived, with Schmidt’s short interview with Michael Corcoran on the association’s YouTube channel the only form of communication.
