There's a pretty big surprise in Man United's lineup for tonight's Champions League game

22-year-old Jesse Lingard is in from the start against CSKA Moscow.

LOUIS VAN GAAL refused to entertain the notion that he had one eye on next weekend’s Manchester derby but his starting XI for tonight’s Champions League game against CSKA Moscow would suggest other wise.

Youngster Jesse Lingard is included and makes his first start for the club since Van Gaal’s first game in charge which was against Swansea in August 2014.

The 22-year-old spent the second part of last season on loan at Derby though he did make a substitute appearance for United in their 3-0 win over Everton last weekend, coming on at half-time for Juan Mata.

For tonight’s fixture, the Spaniard again makes way, as does Matteo Darmian with Antonio Valencia in at right-back.

Michael Carrick, Daley Blind and Memphis Depay are all on the bench, as they were for the victory over the Toffees.
