'When Spiderman recognises you, you have it made': Behind the mic with the Voice of Croke Park

Jerry Grogan has been the stadium announcer at Croke Park for more than 15 years.

NOT EVERY GAA fan knows Jerry Grogan’s name — but they know his voice.

For more than 15 years, he has been the stadium announcer at GAA Headquarters. The voice of Croke Park.

“Ionadaí do Chiarraí…”

A native of Cahirsiveen in County Kerry by birth, Grogan has been living in Dublin and involved with GAA in the capital in one way or another for most of his life.

On top of that, he was the school principal of Holy Trinity in Donaghmede until last year when he retired.

Allianz, who have worked alongside Grogan in the role as sponsors of Cumann na mBunscol, have produced this short film on his GAA life.
