Jermain Defoe has just scored a beautiful looping volley against Palace

Worth a look on Match of the Day, for sure.

JERMAIN DEFOE STUNNED Selhurst Park with this textbook looping volley for Bournemouth against Crystal Palace.

Defoe gave the visitors an early lead but two quick goals from Luka Milivojevic and Scott Dann gave Palace a 2-1 lead deep into stoppage time at the end of the first half.

But there was still time for Lewis Cook to ping a lovely ball over the top to Defoe:

The striker got himself on the right side of Dann:

And after a single bounce, arced a perfectly-placed shot that dipped over Julian Speroni’s head and under the crossbar, nestling in the corner:

It’s bound to be in the reckoning for Goal of the Month, and certainly deserves a look on Match of the Day tonight.
