What you might not know about Baruchel is that he is a die-hard sports fan and, among other things, a Montreal Canadiens obsessive:

He is also a massive Celtic fan — though he has never been to see the Hoops play (more on that in a second):

Baruchel is in Ireland this week as part of a new project, Celtic Soul, a roadtrip buddy documentary which sees him trace his Irish ancestry, investigate his Celtic obsession, and explore the way that sport can transcend the game itself and unite communities across the globe.
He’s joined on his journey by Irish football journalist and mainstay of The42 Eoin O’Callaghan — and yes, Celtic Park is their final destination.
After spending time earlier this week shooting in Dublin, Baruchel headed west to delve deeper into his Irish past and to take in a game of hurling.
He watched Galway down Cork in Pearse Stadium and afterwards caught up with Rebels keeper Anthony Nash for a chat (and presumably some tips on how to take a 21-yard free.)

“Honour meeting you today bud and thank you so much for the hurley and the jersey,” Baruchel later tweeted Nash. “Proud to be a Cork man from here on out.”
Nash replied: “Honour all mine. Was great meeting ye. Hope ye have a great time on yere trip!! Great to have a new supporter for Cork!!”
