Another Bundesliga weekend, another goal for a red-hot United castaway

Javier Hernandez scored his 19th in 21 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen.

AS HIS FORMER club were suffering humiliation at home to Norwich, Javier Hernandez was busy continuing his blistering Bundesliga form for Bayer Leverkusen.

On Saturday, he popped up with the only goal of the game against Ingolstadt – his 19th in 21 appearances since arriving in German football.

And the goal will be a particularly difficult watch for United fans.

Leverkusen broke quickly from an Ingolstadt corner with seventeen minutes to go and Karim Bellarabi raced forward.

Hernandez made a good run into the right channel of the penalty area, the through-ball was perfect and the Mexican dispatched clinically to the net.

The sweeping counter-attack probably brought back happy memories for the striker, who grabbed more than a few similar strikes during his five years at Old Trafford.

It was his 11th league goal of the campaign and his 17th in his last 14 competitive fixtures.
