THE CORK FOOTBALLERS got the job done against Kerry on the pitch today and afterwards they found time to show support for a former teammate.

Jamie Wall played on the Cork U21 football team between 2011 and 2013, while also being part of the extended Rebels senior squad for a spell. He played alongside several members of the current setup at various levels but last June, he suffered a serious spinal injury.

There’s been a huge outpouring of support for Wall and as part of a fundraising campaign, the ‘Friends of Jamie Wall’ are organising a GAA club quiz on Easter Monday next.

The Cork squad posed with a billboard supporting the event in Páirc Uí Rinn after they had seen off Munster rivals Kerry by 11 points.
