ARMAGH WILL TAKE their place in draw for Round 4 of the qualifiers on Monday morning after a cool head and classy finish from Jamie Clarke sealed victory against Tipperary.

Armagh led by a point when Clarke popped up with the decisive goal in the final minute in Semple Stadium.

With Tipp outnumbered and retreating, Gavin McParland popped the ball into Clarke’s path and left him one-on-one with keeper Ciarán Kenrick.

The Crossmaglen star shaped to shoot but as he dropped the ball, dummied a helpless Kenrick, nudged the ball back across his body with his left foot, and rolled into the net with his right.

Far from goal of the year – now if you were to talk about fluke of the year? Maybe unpunished foul of the year? (He did appear to throw the ball to the ground) Not sure what category it fits into but definitely not goal of the year.

I think he could actually have fouled the ball. He dropped it on purpose and played on. Not sure what the exact rule is. It may be ok if it bounces first

He dropped the ball thats the only reason it was on the ground so he can throw a dummy but not hold the ball. hmm…
