James Corden teaches One Direction the five D's of Dodgeball in hilarious video

They don’t have a Patches O’Houlihan on Average Joe’s though.

DODGE, DUCK, DIP, dive, and dodge.

The five fundamentals of Dodgeball and James Corden was on hand to give One Direction a master class before coaching the boy band for a much-anticipated match against the ‘Ball Busters’.

Kitted out in white vests, red shorts and white socks, ‘Corden’s Angels’ certainly looked the part for the hilarious skit on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

“Ever since I’ve been a young boy I’ve wanted to come here and run a dodge-ball team,” the comedian said as he put the quartet through their paces in the gym.

“Look if I wanted to have a television career I would not start hosting a television show that starts at 12.35 in the morning. It was a way into dodge-ball and that’s it.”

A particular highlight was Corden’s motivational speech in the dressing room beforehand.

Ripped the seat of my pants on the V-Sit and unleashed the beast. It unfurled 7 inches past the line. Does that count?
