THE LATEST BOOK offering a look at the incredible success enjoyed by the Kilkenny hurlers will be released this autumn.

Nine-time All-Ireland senior hurling winner Jackie Tyrrell is set to publish his autobiography, following in the wake of team-mate Henry Shefflin and manager Brian Cody.

Tyrrell announced his retirement last November and since then has moved into the punditry game with a weekly column in The Irish Times and is an analyst on The Sunday Game for RTÉ.

He has collaborated on the book with Christy O’Connor, who has recently worked with Cathal McCarron and Anthony Daly on their autobiographies, while previously writing ‘The Club’ and ‘Last Man Standing’.

James Stephen’s club man Tyrrell enjoyed a glittering career with the Cats and accumulated a huge amount of hurling honours.
