Blow for Kilkenny as Jackie Tyrrell will miss All-Ireland semi-final

Manager Brian Cody reportedly confirmed the news today.

KILKENNY WILL BE without Jackie Tyrrell for their All-Ireland senior hurling semi-final clash with Waterford.

The experienced defender has undergone surgery to repair a stress fracture on his ankle, according to Radio Kerry, who claim manager Brian Cody has confirmed that he will miss the last-four showdown on Sunday, 9 August.

33-year-old Tyrrell started in the Leinster final win over Galway earlier this month but came off for Shane Prendergast after 50 minutes.
