UCD WERE LEFT sweating on the fitness of 2015 Footballer of the Year Jack McCaffrey ahead of tomorrow’s Sigerson Cup final.
McCaffrey limped off with a leg injury after the opening quarter of today’s comprehensive semi-final win over UL.
At the stage that McCaffrey was withdrawn, UCD were already on their way to victory which could indicate it was a precautionary measure but the Dublin star did immediately get ice applied on his injured leg.

If McCaffrey is ruled out of tomorrow’s decider against reigning champions DCU, it would be a major setback to UCD’s hopes of ending their 20-year Sigerson Cup drought.
Poor girl is like “who the feck are these”
The last photo sums it up. All the depressed faces around Varadkar and he’s still standing there with a fckugin smug grin on his face!
Yeah, our minister for Transport! (what has that to do with sport). His office should be renamed to the minister for being in the public eye.
He’s minister for transport, tourism and sport.
oops :)
Another picture of Enda looking like a clown..man is hardly photogenic.
Could you imagine the criticism there would be, had no minister turned up. Liveline !,,,,,,
Typical …sure they’d turn up at anything!
I have to run upstairs and open an envelope. Any ministers available are welcome. Just enjoy your ‘trip’ back downstairs;)
Was there not 7 medals around 6 necks? The team was 6 women, not 4…
Sarah Louise Treacy and Sarah McCormack were not at the airport as they are based in England at present.
Ah, mi-scusi.
Ciaran O’Cathain is actually very involved in Irish Athletics. He’s been instrumental as President of AIT in getting an outdoor track built there a few year’s ago, and is currently building an indoor athletic track there to replace the ageing facilities in Nenagh.
Disgusting !!
Shamless
