ALAN JUDGE CONTINUED his fine run in the Championship yesterday, as he scored a brace in Brentford’s 4-2 victory over Huddersfield.
Judge got Brentford’s third goal of the afternoon, as his inswinging free kick eluded everyone to find the back of the net, before the 27-year-old midfielder won a penalty that he subsequently converted.
Brentford moved up to ninth as a result, while Judge now has 10 goals and seven assists (more than any other player in England’s second tier) in total this season.
Despite having yet to win a senior cap for Ireland, Judge is expected to contend for a place in the final 23-man panel for the Euros, having been included in recent squads.
Alan Judge is the third top scorer in the Championship, level with Charlie Austin and only two goals behind Andre Gray and Ross McCormack
