Where can I follow them? The easiest way to follow the team is by keeping an eye on @TeamIRLEq:
What they says:
“We will be fielding a very competitive squad in Rio. I would like to thank all of the owners that made their horses available for selection.”
Speaking to Horse Sport Ireland, Team Manager Nick Turner spoke of the difficulty of choosing the team.
Medal chances? Ireland were unlucky not to medal in London. If things fall their way, the could definitely be standing on the podium.
And here’s something you probably didn’t know…

Hope it’s not broken
Heard from someone at the match that it could be ligaments. Could be out for the season. If so Kilkenny’s championship chances are a lot slimmer. Unbelievable important player for Kilkenny. Up there with Henry now.
Could be wrong but did fennelly have ankle ligament damage last year?
He did but it was only a small tear and strain, they had to drive a car onto the pitch to get him to hospital last night. His whole ankle swelled so much they had to stabilise his leg and lift him into the car. No chance of him making the Offaly match. Hopefully there is no major damage but they won’t be able to tell for sure until the swelling goes down.
