TEAM IRELAND RETURNED home from the U18 European Athletics Championships this evening with four medals in tow.
There were emotional scenes at Dublin Airport after friends and family celebrated the success of the team at the championships in Hungary.
Dublin’s Rhasidat Adeleke won gold in the 200m, while Sonia O’Sullivan’s daughter Sophie claimed silver in the 800m and prodigious talent Sarah Healy won gold in both the 1500m and 3000m to bring Ireland’s medal count to four.
