Ireland oddly down in the latest Fifa rankings despite a win and a draw last week

The Boys in Green have lost ground on Northern Ireland after falling two places to 31st.

IRELAND HAVE FALLEN two places in the latest Fifa rankings, which have been released this morning.

The Boys in Green played two friendlies against Switzerland (14th) and Slovakia (32nd) last week, winning the first 1-0 before drawing the second 2-2, as they continue their build-up to Euro 2016 in France this summer.

However, despite those results, they have dropped to 31st having moved up the table in recent months.

Northern Ireland are up two spots to 26th, their highest ever position, after drawing 1-1 with Wales and defeating Slovenia 1-0.

There’s a change at the top as Argentina have knocked Ireland’s Group E opponents Belgium off first place.

Meanwhile, Chile and Colombia are up to third and fourth respectively with Germany (fifth), Spain (sixth), Brazil (seventh) and Portugal (eighth) all down.
