Ryanair schedule four extra flights to Copenhagen due to 'phenomenal' demand

The scramble for tickets for both legs has already started.

TWO ADDITIONAL DIRECT flights from Dublin to Copenhagen ahead of Ireland’s World Cup play-off have been scheduled due to ‘phenomenal demand’ from Irish supporters.

Ryanair have put on four extra services as well as rescheduling the airline’s existing flight to the Danish capital on Saturday 11 November, the day of the first leg against Denmark at the Parken Stadium.

The extra flights from Dublin to Copenhagen are as follows:

  • Friday 10 November, 8.20am
  • Saturday 11 November, 7.05am
  • Saturday 11 November, 8.25am

Return flights from Copenhagen to Dublin:

  • Sunday 12 November, 12pm
  • Sunday 12 November 7.15pm

While thousands of Ireland fans are expecting to descend on Copenhagen, the away allocation for the Parken Stadium is just 1,900 with the application process for away tickets opening on the FAI website tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, tickets for the home leg at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday 14 November are already proving to be in-demand with an exclusive pre-sale for season ticket holders selling out in minutes this morning.

The FAI will release general sale tickets at 11am on Friday morning, with a 51,000 sell-out expected at Lansdowne Road as Martin O’Neill’s side look to book their place in Russia.
