GAEL MONFILS HAS a reputation for hitting the occasional exquisite point and his most recent match at Wimbledon was no exception.

During his encounter with Pablo Carreno Busta, the French player hit a shot that dropped over the net before spinning back onto his side of the court.

Monfils went on to win the match and now faces fellow French player Adrian Mannarino in the second round today.

Veteran commentator and former tennis player John Lloyd proclaimed his amazement, saying he’d never seen anything like it.
