KELECHI IHEANACHO WAS Manchester City’s supersub with a 90th-munute winner against Crystal Palace.

The 18-year-old striker pounced at the death to give the Premier League leaders a 1-0 win and stretch their advantage over struggling Chelsea to 11 points.

The only cloud on the day came when star striker Sergio Aguero was forced off through injury in the first half.

But Iheanacho, making just his second City appearance, proved an able deputy as he followed up Samir Nasri’s rebound for the game’s only goal.

Iheanacho was quickest to react when Alex McCarthy failed to deal with Nasri's shot.

Aguero downplayed the severity of his injury in a tweet this evening.

“Thanks everyone for your concern,” he wrote. “I got a hard hit and it prevented me from playing more. It doesn’t seem to be a serious injury though.”
