NOW THAT THE inter-county season is well and truly over, it’s time to choose the Hurler of the Year.
Kilkenny’s TJ Reid will be a firm favourite after the Ballyhale clubman’s exploits helped Brian Cody’s side to yet another All-Ireland. Reid’s goal and dominant second-half display in the decider against Galway were crucial in deciding the destination of the Liam McCarthy trophy.

Richie Hogan is aiming to create history by becoming the first player to win back-to-back Hurler of the Year titles. Only a single player has won the award on more than one occasion (Henry Shefflin in 2002, ’06 and ’12).
Tipperary forward Séamus Callanan is the other player in the running. The Drom-Inch clubman finished the championship with a scoring tally of 5-20, including a highly impressive 3-9 (3-4 from play) in the one-point defeat to Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final.
The award will be voted on by the inter-county playing body over the coming weeks, with the winner announced at the Opel All-Stars banquet on November 6.
So who do you think will be the 2015 Hurler of the Year?
