Theo Walcott restored parity after Leroy Sane’s opener with a prodded finish from close range and Shkodran Mustafi headed home to make it 2-2 later on but Henry feels the reaction to the goals was “weird”.
He told Sky Sports: “I found the reaction weird at the time [to Walcott’s effort]. The second goal also.
“The reaction of it wasn’t that great. They don’t even jump on him properly but they managed to come back.
“Sometimes we underestimate – and we’ve been through it – what it’s like when the pressure is on you.
“They’ve had a lot of pressure on their backs and they could have just forgotten to celebrate the goal.”
While a stalemate with City did prevent Arsenal from suffering a third straight defeat in the Premier League, it has done little for their standing in the table.
Arsene Wenger’s side remain in sixth spot, seven points behind Pep Guardiola’s side in fourth, albeit with a game in hand.
