HARRY REDKNAPP HAS been handed the task of saving relegation-threatened Birmingham City after he has been appointed their new manager.
Gianfranco Zola resigned yesterday at the Championship club after overseeing a terrible run of form that yielded only two wins in 22 games since taking over four months ago.
Zola had controversially replaced Gary Rowett and Birmingham City’s subsequent downturn in form sees them currently in 20th place, just three points above the relegation zone.
They lost 2-0 at home to Burton Albion yesterday and have now turned to Redknapp with three games remaining in the season, starting with next Sunday’s derby clash with Aston Villa.
