HARRY KANE WILL play no part in Tottenham’s clash with Manchester United this weekend, after the club confirmed on Friday that the striker had suffered a hamstring strain.

The 24-year-old had been undergoing intensive treatment after being taken off during Spurs’ 4-1 demolition of Liverpool last Sunday where he scored a brace.

Kane has scored 17 goals in 16 appearances for club and country combined this season, however following the minor strain to his left hamstring will not feature against Jose Mourinho’s side on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs have suffered just one defeat in their last 11 games in all competitions — exiting the EFL Cup midweek at the hands of London rivals West Ham — and could overtake United in the Premier League with a win at Old Trafford.

Mourinho’s side have dropped points in successive weeks after their 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield preceded a shock 2-1 defeat to newly-promoted Huddersfield last Saturday.

It was United’s first loss of the campaign, meaning Maurucio Pochettino’s side went level on points following their three goal win against the Reds in London.

Kane limped off in the 88th minute at Wembley last weekend after scoring two and setting up another against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Tottenham boss Pochettino confirmed Kane’s injury speaking on Friday, saying it was “impossible” for the striker to play a part in tomorrow’s game.
