IT’S NEVER A nice experience for a player to be carried off the pitch with a potentially serious injury but at least there’s the comfort of knowing you’re in safe hands.

In the Greek second division at the weekend, Ergotelis defender Leonardo Koutris had received treatment for an injury before the referee ordered the medical staff to carry him to the sideline.
All was going according to plan as they lifted him onto the stretcher but things went downhill from there.
In an attempt to move the player as quickly as possible, the stretcher-bearers somehow managed to unceremoniously drop Koutris not once, but twice.
And then, to quite literally add insult to injury, he was dumped to the ground on the touchline as the medical staff showed no concern for his welfare.
