The world's most expensive striker got off to the perfect start last night

Gonzalo Higuaín scored a late winner for Juventus in their first game of the season.

GONZALO HIGUAÍN HAS started to pay back some of the €90 million that Juventus paid to bring the former Napoli striker to Turin, by netting the winner on his league debut against Fiorentina.

Sami Khedira had opened the scoring for the Old Lady, who have claimed the Serie A title for the past five years, before former Blackburn Rovers stiker Nikola Kalinić equalised in the 70th minute for the visitors.

However, it was to be Higuaín’s night, despite the Argentina international striker starting from the bench, as he popped up with 15 minutes to go to give Juventus a winning start to the season.
