Two penalties from out-half Jack Stafford were enough to give Glenstal a 6-3 win this afternoon and set up a semi-final against Rockwell.
Crescent, winners in 2013 and again last year, were bidding to become the first school to win three successive titles since CBC’s four between 1997 and 2000.
The second semi will see Presentation Brothers Cork take on Ardscoil Rís after they beat Castletroy College 22-15.

Two first-half tries for Daragh Dennehy and one for captain John Poland helped Pres into a 17-3 lead in the first of today’s Thomond Park double-header.
Poland’s second try shortly after the restart sealed what was a comfortable win until two late Castletroy tries threatened a comeback which was too little, too late.
