GIOVANI DOS SANTOS produced another superb goal on Sunday to help Los Angeles Galaxy draw 1-1 at Sporting Kansas City despite having Ashley Cole sent off in the second half.
Brad Davis put Kansas City 1-0 up in the 30th minute. Twelve minutes later, Gyasi Zardes found dos Santos on a counter-attack and the Mexican attacker lofted a shot over charging Sporting goalkeeper Tim Melia.
It was dos Santos’s fourth goal in three MLS matches — a run of form that has seen him included in Mexico’s preliminary 40-man squad for the 2016 Copa America Centenario.

The Galaxy, whose 18 goals are the most in the MLS this season, will be happy to have escaped Kansas City with the draw after seeing Cole sent off in the 70th minute.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea back received two yellow cards in the space of a minute — the first for time-wasting on a throw-in and the second for an clumsy tackle on Benny Feilhaber.
“Some days are going to look like this,” said Galaxy coach Bruce Arena, who had to make do without injured former England captain Steven Gerrard.
“To grind out and get a point here is important,” Arena said. “We’re pleased with that.”
