POLAND MOVED THREE points clear at the top of Group D with a 4-0 win against Georgia.

The early kick-off in Tbilisi gave Adam Nawalka’s side a chance to take control of the group, and with Ireland losing in Glasgow, they remain the only unbeaten side.

Georgia held out until the 51st minute when Kamil Glik broke the deadlock and settled the visitors’ nerves.

The points were made safe with two goals in the space of two minutes, Grzegorz Krychowiak doubling Poland’s advantage in the 71st minute before Sebastian Mila made it 3-0.

Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik completed the evening with a fourth deep into stoppage time.

Germany, Scotland and Ireland are all level on seven points after four games apiece.

Shaun Maloney scored the game’s only goal as Scotland beat Ireland 1-0 in Celtic Park while Germany beat Gibraltar as expected, but could only score four.
