England international Kruis faces bite citing that could end his season

David Wilson faces “eye gouge” charge as part of the same Premiership incident.

SARACENS FACE AN anxious wait after their English international lock George Kruis was cited for an alleged bite just days before their Champions Cup quarter-final against Northampton.

Both Kruis and international team-mate David Wilson are set to face a disciplinary hearing tomorrow evening following an incident in Sarries’ Premiership win against Bath.

Wilson has been cited for allegedly making contact with Kruis’ eye or eye area during the same altercation. Both men liable to face punishments of 12 weeks or more if the charges are upheld.

Any ban for Kruis would be a blow for Sarries as they approach the business end of the domestic and European seasons, and also potentially for England who could lose their star for the tour of Australia in June.

Bath prop Wilson, who has 44 international caps, was last capped in the World Cup win against Uruguay and did not feature in the Six Nations under Eddie Jones.
