The 33-year-old middleweight faced Englishman Nick Quigley (15-3) and immediately went on the front foot. Both fighters were left bloodied but Spike began to dominate before claiming a fourth-round stoppage.

Cork native O’Sullivan, now with 26 victories, two defeats and 18 knockouts, was convincing on the night and he is unbeaten since losing out to Chris Eubank Jr in a WBA middleweight title eliminator back in December 2015.
