'It's either naive or arrogance' - Gary Neville was in good form on MNF

Neville says Arsene Wenger’s midfield just doesn’t make sense.

AS USUAL, THERE were fireworks on Monday Night Football.

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher were joined by Thierry Henry at the touchpad on for Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool, and the new man caused a bit of a stir for his former Manchester United adversary,

Before the game kicked off, the trio set about exploring Arsene Wenger’s square pags in round hole philosophy, noting his repeated use of players out of position in the engine room of midfield.

Neville was adamant that a centre midfield of Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin wouldn’t be good enough to win a Premier League title, saying that Wenger is “either naive or arrogant” if he thought they were.

Henry, on the other hand, said that Wenger wasn’t arrogant to think so, but that he’s instead showing his belief in his players.

With Neville and Henry on opposite ends of the argument, Carragher sat somewhere in the middle. All in all, it was a pretty good debate.
