Conroy saw off fellow nominees in Ryan McHugh (Donegal) and Diarmuid Connolly (Dublin).
The St James club man delivered an outstanding display in June to help Galway stun Mayo in the Connacht semi-final. They’re busy preparing now for Sunday’s Connacht final replay against Roscommon.
