STILL HAVE CASH in your pocket and willing to risk all for all that is great about Galway? Well then welcome to the weekend.
To kick off the beginning of the end, Dermot Weld’s Zafayan has been backed to odds-on favourite in the Maiden Hurdle at 14.40.

The four-year-old has managed to place in all five of his hurdle races to date and with Davy Russell on board will be difficult to back against. But at 8/13, we’d rather take our chances with 10/1 shot Castle Guest with Paul Carberry on board… each way at least.
Wood Breizh with Paul Townend on board in January.
The feature race of the day goes under the gun at 15.15 with quite an open field in the Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle where Pyromaniac is the 4/1 favourite at the time of writing. At 8/1, though, The42 likes the shimmering grey look of Willie Mullins’ Wood Breizh.
The five-year-old placed on the flat in Ballybrit on Monday with Katie Walsh on board and with Ruby today, could provide more great value.

Among the remaining races on Day 6 it’s hard to overlook anything from Weld’s stable, so put your trust in ‘The King of Ballybrit’ to kick-start your Saturday night with 11/4 shot Hoppala in the 16.25 Nursery Handicap. Though AP O’Brien’s Antelope Canyon surely won’t be far off either.
