The mascot of the weekend award goes to this young Galway fan

Little Oisin Helebert stole the show in Thurles earlier as he joined in with Galway’s post-match celebrations.

IT WAS A memorable day for Galway at Semple Stadium this afternoon as they held off the challenge of Cork to claim their first Division 1 camogie league title since 2005.

Naturally, there were scenes of joy afterwards as Niamh Kilkenny and her team mates paraded the trophy around Thurles on front of their family and friends.

But the show was stolen by little Oisin Helebert, the grandson of Galway manager Tony Ward.

There’s no doubt where the mascot of the weekend award is headed this week….
